• Unlike adult cancers, there is no known cause for pediatric cancer.
  • There has only been 3 new pediatric cancer drugs approved by the FDA in the last 20 years.
  • The average age at death of a child cancer patient is 8 years old, a loss of 69 years of life ahead of them.
  • In 80% of kids with cancer, the cancer has already spread to other areas of the body by the time it is diagnosed.

DID YOU KNOW? For every $1.00 raised for adult cancer research, pediatric cancer research only gets $0.01 ONE PENNY?

Most of the pediatric cancer research funding comes from the Government and it represents only 4% of what is provided to adult cancer research yet the need is far greater than the 4% it is currently receiving. We need to bridge the gap!

How do we bridge the gap? Keep doing what you're doing but louder. Speak up, and educate others with the facts below so it is viewed as a more pressing problem

  • Kids are often forced to use antiquated adult cancer treatments that might not work for their bodies.
  • The incidence of invasive pediatric cancer is up 29% in the past 20 years.
  • Childhood cancer is the number one disease killer of children in the U.S.
  • Because of the treatments they had as kids, more than 99% of childhood cancer survivors will have a chronic health problem and 96% will have severe or life-threatening conditions.
